ABOUT
Lot 1 is named after the first home my husband and I ever lived in and renovated together. It was a small house that most people — everyone who walked through, in fact — thought should have been knocked down. We had a modest budget, no kitchen and a bathroom situation you'd only accept when you're young and completely swept up in a project. We made a few mistakes. But we were so happy. That feeling, the thrill of making a space entirely your own, has never left me. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I had a thought that has shaped everything since: everyone deserves to feel this way about where they live.
A home renovation is one of the most significant things you will ever do. It should feel that way, considered, personal and entirely in service of the life you want to live. Every decision, every material, every late change of mind guided by someone who cares as much about the outcome as you do. That's what Lot 1 has always been about. And why every project, no matter the scale, is still as personal to us as the first.
