Ethne House explores the relationship between old and new within a traditional Sydney terrace. Guided by a concept of frame and angles, natural timber, stone and sculptural forms are introduced alongside the home’s original character, creating a contemporary reimagining of heritage through materiality, form and function.
Once an artist’s gallery and studio, Headland House came with a creative history of its own. A considered collection of furniture and art introduces warmth and texture against concrete floors and burgundy frames, while detailed furniture planning makes the most of the light-filled spaces and creates a home distinctly personal to the family.
Designed for a young family who love to gather, Preston House connects everyday living with the outdoors. Organised around a central pool and filled with natural light, the home brings family life and entertaining together through a robust material palette of recycled brick, timber, concrete and black steel.
